Games for Windows Live uses heavy tech to protect their games against pirecy and cheating. Thanks to Mondo for this information. You may have to use the following download to use this save file. This will disable most of Xlive/GFWL protections against cheating (Using other player's save files is cheating :P)
This ASI Loader also can work with all dsound using games and applications.Tested only with xlive.dll v2.0.0687.0-3.1.99.0! If your GFWL auto updated then there is a chance of won't work!

ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I can't get it to work, despite trying your guide and some ideas of my own.
The game insists that the file appears to be damaged.
It neither helps to rename the Kenji folder to my own G4WL name, nor to create an offline account with the name Kenji.
Any more ideas?
I want access to the character customization features (in campaign mode) before finishing the campaign once.
I did checked the file with one of my own other GFWL accounts. It worked actualy! So I don't know what I have missed there.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I played Repacked version of the game with the RG Repack's update! Try deleting my config.ini and replace it with your config.ini..Might help, not sure though! + It only works for offline account only!
As far as I know (after some googling), the save files for GfWL games are severely protected from any cheating attempts.
ReplyDeleteApparently GfWL checks if they are connected to the right user/account. There seems to be only one way to safely back up (or port to another pc) these save files. GfWL stores data in:
(XP) - \Documents and Settings\ [user name] \Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\XLive
(Vista) - \Users\ [user name] \AppData\Local\Microsoft\XLive
, where it finds any relevant information about the user, his accounts and games. You need to make a backup of that folder (XLive) along with your game saves, else they won't work on another pc (or even after a reinstall of Win).
If you are daring or very skilled in the use of Windows, I'd say provide us with your XLive folder, so that we can try if the LP2 will work with that.
But honestly, I'd rather advise against that, unless you can find reliable info somewhere that exposing this data doesn't involve safety risks.
I would just very much like to know if that might actually work. Maybe you have access to another pc, where you can try that?

ReplyDeleteIm afraid, you are actualy right about XLive folder, Since I have used my legit account (in offline mode) to play this game. I won't be able to upload that folder.
Well..I did some googling too. Found this 'working' (as people commented) XLIVE/GFWL protection disabler. It might work. unfortunetly, I can't personaly test it. Coz at the moment I got no GFWL games installed, Including Lost Planet 2. So If someone using this save file. Dl the Disabler too, and give us a feedback.

ReplyDeleteYou have forgot one important thing to mention! :D What is your xlive.dll version? If the .dll is not the exact v2.0.0687.0-3.1.99.0. It won't work! Windows 7/Vista users may never can use this crack! I have already tested the crack as "working" on my Resident Evil 5 Save game files!

1.Use a crack (from a well known scene release much better)
2. Create an offline account/ Never Create an online account if you are a pirate!
Save Game problem-
1. Game won't save within chapters
(LP2 runs like this -> EX. 4 Episodes>4 chapters>1 Campaign = 1 plot, Hope you do get that, So unless you complete a whole campaign the game won't save! So try to beat up a whole campaign when you play!

ReplyDeleteMay take a bit of time due to none-follower request, so I recommend you to take alternatives if you want to, since we have already posted a way to hack GfWL accounts and play saved games!
Hello, I tried to test your save file but won't load and it said it was damaged. I use cracked version by Skidrow and trivium, also change the username to mine but all attempt is unsuccessful and disable GFWL protection mod isn't work.
ReplyDeleteYou need upload your offline profile and no one is going affect your profile if share with other people to get save works, or find methods to remove the GFWL from this game to get save works like we did with Dead Rising 2.

ReplyDeleteI'm quite aware of the situation, In fact several people has made the GfWL disabler work and proceeded with the game it self. So, actually it does work. You can google for instructions on how to.
2nd thing is My account is not an offline account, I just played the game gone offline, so still my account details are attached to this file. And I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused by this.
If you cannot make the Disabler work, I recommend you to look somewhere else. But for future references on GfWL games, we have found a solution and it's much more easier and safer to use!

how exactly to use this loader ? can you describe it alite bit more ? i cant find any info in google about how to use this file and i dont have any dsound file, whats it for ? thanks in advance

ReplyDeletedsound is compatible if you have an older version of GfWL. If your are using Win 7/Vista SP2 (like wise) this won't work! GfWL dll version must be as mentioned above, then the dsound will be found via loader. However I don't recommend this anymore, since unless you know what you are doing,this is seemingly impossible. Even though I can write a walkthrough for this, I cannot spent like 4-5 hours just to check files and write back. It will be quite pointless.

DeleteI think you have the repack, probably the Rus/Eng release of the game.
Check your Registry to language, there is a detailed youtube video about how to change Rus to Eng in video games. Check that.

Now, I found out how to change the profile name in this offline complete save game
1. Backup Folder Documents\capcom\LOST PLANET 2
Delete everything inside this folder except the config file
2. Backup Folder AppData\Local\Microsoft\Xlive
Delete everything inside folder Content, DLC, SysCache, Titles, Updates
3. Play your Lost Planet 2, then create Your Own Offline Profile
Exit the game without saving
4. Backup Account file inside Folder:
AppData\Local\Microsoft\Xlive\Content\<1st ID Code>\<2nd ID Code>\<3rd ID Code>\<4th ID Code>
5. Delete everything inside Folder Documents\capcom\LOST PLANET 2 except the config file
Also go to Folder AppData\Local\Microsoft\Xlive
Delete everything inside folder Content, DLC, SysCache, Titles, Updates
6. Put the complete save game in Folder Documents\capcom\LOST PLANET 2
Put the profile of complete save game in AppData\Local\Microsoft\Xlive
4. Now Replace the Account File with Your Account File in Folder:
AppData\Local\Microsoft\Xlive\Content\<1st ID Code>\<2nd ID Code>\<3rd ID Code>\<4th ID Code>
5. Play The Game
Enjoy the complete save game with Your Own Profile Name
