Witcher 2 Savegame Cleaner

This modest utility will scan your Witcher 2 savegame directory and allow you to preview, select and delete or backup a set of savegame to free up some space on your computer.

It should be very simple to use. It shouldn't delete anything outside of the Witcher 2 savegame directory, and always ask you for confirmation.

Instructions:

* Launch the software, it should detect you savegame directory. If it can't find the savegame directory, please click "Browse" and manually select the directory.

* A list of all savegame should be displayed. If you click on a specific savegame you will see a preview of the savegame along with the savegame size and date.

* Select any save you wish to remove or backup

* Click "Delete" or "Backup"

- Delete will delete the savegame along with the preview

- Backup will create a ZIP file containing all selected savegame and their previews. Witcher 2 savegame react quite well to ZIP compression. The target ZIP file will generally occupy 15% the regular savegame space.

Hitman Absolution Announces!!!

After nearly 5 years from the last Hitman game (Hitman Blood Money, 2006) Square Enix has confirmed a Sequel for Hitman Franchise!


In the official announcement, Square Enix describes the game thusly:

"'Hitman Absolution' follows Agent 47, a cold-blooded assassin, who takes on his most dangerous contract to date. Betrayed by those he once trusted — and now hunted by the police — he suddenly finds himself at the center of a dark conspiracy and must embark on a personal journey through a corrupt and twisted world."

Fans of the "Hitman" games will undoubtedly recognize that premise, as it's the premise of every "Hitman" game ever made. Work with what you know, right?
Wait, here are some more vague statements from Tore Blystad, the game director at IO Interactive:

"For the first time we are taking Agent 47 on a personal journey which allows us to explore other parts of the 'Hitman' fantasy. This is both a familiar and yet significantly different experience from other 'Hitman' games; something our silent assassins will relish, as will all those new to the 'Hitman' world."

The new installment in the Hitman series looks more likely as Deus Ex: Human Revolution publishers Square Enix has filed a trademark application for the term “Hitman: Absolution” with the trademark registry for the European Union. While further details remain sketchy, this news has been enough to get Hitman fans rubbing their hands in anticipation of the cleverly timed and executed kills to come.

With any luck the latest game in the series will still allow you to get creative with your kills, as you guide 47 to seek out the best ways and tools for dealing death to naughty men and women who ended up on a very, very bad list.

Hitman: Absolution is due on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC sometime next year (2012). More info will be revealed at E3. That’s about it. E3 is shaping up to be a very good show this year don’t you think? Are you looking forward to more Hitman?

Assassins Creed Revelations REVEALED!!

Quickly pulled link on the Assassin’s Creed Facebook page has revealed the name and teaser footage for the next game in the series. It will be called Assassin’s Creed Revelations, and will feature Altair, the hero of the first game. You’ll find more information, and the mysterious teaser videos below.

NeoGaf spotted the leaked link on Friday, and have delved into the revealed webpage to uncover some blurry footage. CVG note that the videos mention Altair’s name in Arabic, suggesting that the star of Assassin’s Creed 1 will at least make an appearance in the new game.

There’s no news yet on whether Revelations will turn out to be the next major Assassin’s Creed title, but a Ubisoft report at a recent investor’s event said that there will be more Assassin’s Creed news arriving this month.

The Assassin’s Creed Facebook page still displays a banner asking people for likes to unlock more information, but dedicated Assassin’s Creed fans have already captured some of the footage from the Facebook leak on Friday, you’ll find both videos below. Metro Sequel : "METRO LAST LIGHT" confirmed!

Speaking this evening during an investor conference call, THQ CEO Brian Farrell confirmed that "Metro: Last Light" will be the title of the sequel to last year's gritty FPS Metro 2033.

Last month, domain registrations for "Metro2033LastLight.com," "MetroLastLight.com" and "LastLightGame.com" served as evidence of an upcoming game under some permutation of that title, but THQ had yet to offer anything official about that title -- and it wasn't clear whether that related to a sequel (which has previously been known as "Metro 2034") or some kind of spinoff.

The important thing, of course, is that it hasn't been titled "Unreleased FPS Project." In fact, this game will be the focus of a "first-class marketing campaign," THQ core games CEO Danny Bilson told us earlier this year.
