Oil Rush - Update 1.01

Oil Rush v1.01 Update info:
Fixed memory leak induced crashes.
Fixed loading saved settings by the launcher.
Better compatibility with Mesa on Linux (improved support of open source video drivers).
Steam overlay notifications are moved to the left bottom corner.
Changed default video mode to fullscreen with native screen resolution in Steam version.
Fixed sound on/off logic.
Fixed minor GUI layout problems in Russian version.
Slightly increased level loading speed.

Backyard Back


Since SOPA and PIPA is still mind raping the internet users, we went dark on couple of weeks ago. Well we are back since SOPA and PIPA is blacklisting the file sharing providers (as Mediafire, File serve & Megaupload etc.) we will be out of business in short time as well. But let me remind you that we are only directing you to file locations we never told that these files were belong to us (crack/ Patches) well except for the saves. And plus as we describe in our 'disclaimer' these files are only for usage for legit buyers of this game. It's purely up to the downloader to follow this rules. If not it's purely the downloaders fault if he/she uses it to piracy purposes. Remember that!

SOPA/PIPA hits Backyard!!

As you may already know, this new acts against piracy (or net users it self) will majjorly effect Backyard as well. Well we don't wanna spend rest of our days getting pee'd on the head or ass raped by american marines in Guantanamo Bay Prison. Since they treat all brown colors as bunch of 'mad jihad muslims wearing a bomb west thinking about going to heaven after blowing up some infidels' we don't expect neither less.

So no sir, we rather satay on our own soil and keep the shit to our selves. The backyard will stay alive,but following actions will take action immediately.

1. Previous posts will be moderated, Links that are conflict with new acts will be removed permanently!
2. Posts regarding Cracks/Updates (3rd party)/Fixes (any kind) will not be posted on Backyard further more.
3. Backyard will continue on Legit updates, Saves and trainers on video games and also legit promotions as free game give aways!

Further actions on Backyard will take place if necessary in future. We hope you stay with us as you were before. We had a good run last three years! Thanks for that! :)

NOTE: To show our anger and frustration against these new acts, backyard will not post anything in 10 days (19th-29th January)!

All links in year 2012 currently blacklisted! We will blacklist all the links during next month!

BOREDERLANDS - Game of The Year Give away!

Yes it's that time of the year when we get some blow jobs from random people! xD

2010 - Nothing!
2011 - L4D2!
now in 2012 it is BORDERLANDS : GOTY Edition

WTF is a GOTY?
It's simply "Game of the year edition, which contains
Mad moxxi DLC
Zombie Island DLC
Armory of General Knoxx DLC
Clap Traps Revolution DLC
and Some late VIP pass for Duke Nukem Forever! xD

What's the catch?
Nothing! It's for the appretiation of ours to you a'holes! xD

Rules so far :
Need to show us you are still here and alive in Backyard! Make a comment saying the links to your steam or xfire!
Need to be on STEAM (verified + No banned)!
Post your Xfire/ Steam profile link, so we can view it. (Make sure profile is set to public, so it can be viewed)
If Sri Lankan, Indian or a Paki, way better! But others can get into this too.
Need to have a history in Co-Op games.
Need to play it, otherwise no point getting it.
Final decision holds by the Backyard! The Writers of Backyard has large chance of getting it than followers! Old followers (Who registered before April 2011) has larger chance of winning the game than newer followers! And yes we have a record of when you start to show up in the blog!
Winner will be annouced prior to Sri Lankan New Year! (Apr 2012)
The final Rules will be posted on 1st February 2012, after that there will be no amendments in rules!

The rules and other stuff is subject to change, This event has nothing to do with Gearbox or 2K Interactive!

Gabe Newell and Half-Life Writer Deny Existence of Valve ARG

Remember that speculation about a Valve ARG that started after the VGAs Saturday? If Mark Laidlaw, the writer behind the Half-Life games, is to be believed, it’s all baseless.

ValveARG.com is a site that has tracked Valve’s Alternate Reality Games in the past. With all the hoopla surrounding the video of Wheatley from the VGAs, the administrator of ValveARG.com decided to email Valve for more information. He got a couple of notable denials.

First, Laidlaw said, “There is no ARG at this time.”Shortly afterwards, Gabe Newell himself made similar statement, saying, “We are not running an arg.”Looks like there’s no ARG ongoing, folks. Sorry.

Of course, people will be quick to point out that we can’t prove that these emails are legitimate, nor can we be certain that the folks at Valve aren’t telling us a little fib. Regardless, I’ve seen enough to make me believe that Half-Life 3 is still far on the horizon, no matter how much we would wish otherwise.
