One of my personal favorites. Hell yeh!.. Zombies and Guns! That's one thing that turns me on, unless its some smokin hot girl :P..

Ok, enough the crap!..Time to kick some ASS!..Ok follow the instructions from now on!

STEP 00
You will need a Standalone version (untouched) L4D2 Installation. (Means no patches, no cracks)! (still razor 1911,globe & rocgnu versions of the game seems ok with this. Skidrow, Reloaded is not)

STEP 01
Go to http://www.garena.com/ .. Create an account (free would do).. Get the software from this site (Garena), and install the software as desired!

STEP 02
Start and login to your Garena. Choose the L4D2 icon inside garena.
Select the room nearest to your location.

Ex. : If you are in India got to Asean room. Once in, select a sub room inside it..

STEP 03
Patch up your untouched or above mentioned versions by using following link..

In here, get gani's stand alone patch!..and update yourself by using the patches in this thread.
(latest at time 2010 Jan was patch version 2.0.0.7)

You do not need all patches, just get the stand alone and then 2.0.0.6 and then 2.0.0.7..
Once you patched the game, you are done with the game..
back to garena!

STEP 04
Now, I presume that you are in a room..in here you will see as following...In down part of your garena window you will see some tabs as settings and start game.

see...

Click on settings. Enter following data.


In here,

1. Enter your installation path to "RUN_L4D2.exe" application in Executable settings.
Ex.: D:\L4D2\Left 4 Dead 2 version 2.0.0.2\RUN_L4D2.exe

2. Enter "+sv_lan1+sv_allow_lobby_connect_only 0" in Game Bootstrap parameters.

Now click Ok.

STEP 05
Remember the "Start game" Tab near settings now?..click it..
You may get a error like this...

If so click OK..
The game would load now..ONLINE MULTI PLAYER ENABLED !!!!:D:D

If somehow your version not working or getting another error, that means you messed up somewhere. This works perfectly. Tested on Win XP SP3 - 32.64 bit , Win 7 - 32 bit...

This post will be updated as necessary. However garena does not support piracy or illegal games. Proceed with your own opinion and risk. All ways use original softwares to support developers, If they doesn't develop, we would have nothing..If you like the game, please buy it. If you need further help log in to garena forum.. or post a comment..I will look into it.. Word of Caution : I strongly recommend shutting STEAM off when the game runs on garena. garena developers does not support illegal software users. Garena only hosts private servers to support gamers. Please be respectful for that...

Want to play multi-player games on Internet?

First of all, wish everyone a Happy New Year!.. :p yep!, Sorry for the delay.. Got bit busy lately at work. So anyways.. next posts will be about 'how to play multi player games illegally which online originals required !'.. Yes you read rite, illegally!..

Ok, First you will need this...

1. A internet connection with atleast of 1 mbps or above downspeed
2. Closer servers to your location
3. Some softwares (Garena, Hamachi etc.)
4. Little bit of brains :P
5. Sometimes, you will require original STEAM and a STEAM account to play illegally.

Things you should know about before continue.....

1. Your internet connection, If slow or low downspeed do not bother to play far servers, If low bandwidth use always nearest servers!
2. Stop torrents running!..Don't run downloads, windows updates and torrents while play!..It will cause you to lag!. No body like laggers! You will be kicked if you do so!!
3. Again, Connect to a server near you!!..Or you will get a high ping level, which will cause lagging!
4.If you do lag, Never Host a game!!..
5. If still lagging, get a better connection..Still you may play..but it's your choice, yet as I said before never host a game! (its important)
6. Do not forget that you play as a team!! Make decisions as team mates! Do not act selfish!!
